Jen in the Small Town

In a small town not far from the castle, there was a girl named Jen. Her adoptive parents, Sandy and Chris, forced her to do hard work every day. Unlike other adoptive parents, they didn't love Jen and treated her like a servant, not allowing her to play or have fun. As she cleaned the walls in their home, she said to herself, "I know I've been adopted since I was little, but I'm sure they adopted me for more than just being a servant."

Her adoptive parents, Sandy and Chris, arrived when Jen had finished cleaning the walls and put the bucket and brush aside.

Sandy: "Why is this wall dirty? You've been cleaning it for five hours. You're a terrible cleaner. I want to see my reflection on the wall when I come back; I want the wall to shine like a mirror from cleanliness, or you won't eat."

Sandy went up to her room, with anger and threats visible on her face.

Jen: "Why is nothing I do good enough for them?"

Chris: "It's your fault! Sandy is the nicest person in the world; you must have done something to upset her, or she wouldn't behave this way. Remember, if she complains, it means you've made a mistake."

After this speech, Chris went to the room with Sandy, leaving Jen to clean the walls alone as she usually did.

Jen: "I wish I had another place to go. I would leave immediately, but I don't have money, food, or a place to live. I'm trapped here, cleaning walls and eating pumpkin soup with no spices."

Suddenly, a fairy appeared next to Jen. At first, Jen was frightened, but she didn't need to worry. Not all fairies are evil, and this fairy seemed kind.

Jen: "What? Who are you? Wishes? I was just talking to myself, that's all. I didn't make a wish; it wasn't a suitable wish anyway."

Fairy: "Well, it seemed like a wish to me, and I'm here to grant it. I am a kind fairy. There are few of us, as you know. All I need is some of your adoptive mother's hair, and I'll be able to find another place for you to live."

Jen: "I wish my real parents were alive; I would wish to live with them."

Fairy: "Oh, dear, your parents are alive. You should have known that these two are filthy liars. If you bring me the hair, I'll get you out of these dirty clothes and dress you in new, beautiful clothes so you can live with your real parents."

Jen: "My real parents are alive? Who are they?"

Fairy: "Bring me the hair, and you will know everything."

Just as the kind fairy appeared quickly, she disappeared quickly.

Jen sat down and began to think about what she had been told. "Sandy doesn't wash or comb her hair. So, I need to find a way to get some of her hair."

Jen: "I hope my parents will be happy to see me. I wish to know how I ended up here."

Just as there are kind fairies, there are also evil ones. Sandy and Chris waited until Jen started cleaning the walls, then sneaked out of the house. They arrived at a winding path, surrounded by dead trees, and reached the cottage of an evil old witch.

Evil Witch: "Tonight, you will get what you wish for. As long as you keep her away from her real parents, the spell will work. You will die, and you will get the throne because you are her parents."

Sandy: "This is easy. I excel at separating families. Isn't that right, Chris?"

Chris: "Yes, my dear. You are good at everything. It's time to go home; I expect to find the walls clean, or I will lock her in the cellar again. I might do that anyway, so she doesn't leave and find her real parents."

Evil Witch: "Don't forget your part in the deal. Once you get what you want, I want the girl's soul. Bring me her hair, that's all I need to take it from her."

Sandy: "You will get her soul, I promise. You will get it."

Sandy and Chris returned home, and Jen started planning how to get Sandy's hair. She decided she would wait until Sandy was asleep to cut a lock of her hair. That night, Jen sneaked into Sandy's room, took scissors, and cut a small lock of her hair. She quickly returned to her room, and in the morning, she went to the forest to meet the kind fairy.

Fairy: "Well done, Jen. Now I will perform the magic to return you to your real parents."

The fairy took the lock of hair and cast a powerful spell. Jen began to feel a strange change, and suddenly, she found herself in a new place. She was standing in front of a large palace, and saw a man and a woman running towards her.

Mother: "Jen! Oh my God, we finally found you!"

Father: "We didn't know you were still alive. We have been searching for you for years."

Jen: "Are you my real parents?"

Mother: "Yes, we are your parents. The evil witch took you and gave you to these liars. We didn’t know where you were, but now you’ve come back to us."

Jen lived happily with her real parents and learned that magic can be a force for good when used wisely. As for Sandy and Chris, they received their just punishment from the evil witch. Jen lived in the palace with her parents happily, and learned that the truth always finds its way, and that good always prevails in the end.
