Inside the hospital room, everything was quiet except for the sound of medical devices measuring Aboud's heartbeat. He lay on the bed, pale-faced, with wounds on his shoulder, while Abbas sat beside him, worried about his friend. After hours of long waiting, Aboud's eyes began to move slowly.
Abbas (softly noticing Aboud's movement): "Aboud... Aboud? Can you hear me?"
Aboud's eyes opened very slowly. Everything was blurry at first, but he gradually regained consciousness. He felt intense pain in his shoulder, but that wasn't his main concern at the moment.
Aboud (hoarsely and exhausted): "Aurora... where is she?"
Abbas, trying to remain calm, placed a gentle hand on Aboud's shoulder to comfort him.
Abbas (reassuringly): "Calm down, Aboud. You're safe now. The police are working on finding Aurora. You've been here all night, and they've been investigating the whole time."
Aboud (anxiously trying to get up): "No... it's not enough. John... John is the key. I have to find John."
Aboud tried to get up from the bed, but the pain in his shoulder was too much for him to move easily. His body ached, but he didn't care.
Abbas (trying to stop him): "Aboud, you need to calm down. The police are handling the situation, and they'll find Aurora. You can't do everything on your own."
Aboud (sharply, filled with anger): "The police? I don't trust that they'll be enough in this case. John knows more than we think... give me my phone."
Abbas hesitated for a moment but decided to give Aboud his phone. He knew Aboud wouldn't rest until he contacted John. Aboud grabbed the phone with a trembling hand and started searching for John's number. The pain in his shoulder was unbearable, but his anger and determination outweighed it.
Aboud (angrily as he pressed the call button): "John... I need to confront him now. He's the only one who might know where she is."
The phone rang, and the wait felt heavy. Every passing second increased Aboud's tension. Finally, John answered the call in his usual calm voice.
John (coldly): "Aboud? What do you want?"
Aboud (furiously and defiantly): "Where's Aurora? Where did they take her? You know what's happening, John. Don't act like you don't know anything."
John hesitated for a moment, and his silence revealed that Aboud had hit the truth.
John (calmly): "Aboud, I think you're hallucinating. I don't know what you're talking about."
Aboud (raising his voice): "Don't lie to me! Ever since I met you, things have only gotten worse. I know you know where she is, and I'll do whatever it takes to bring her back."
Abbas stood beside the bed, listening to the conversation with concern. He didn't know what was happening between Aboud and John, but he realized that things were taking a dangerous turn.
John (with a mysterious tone): "Aboud, you need to calm down. This isn't your game. Leave it to those who know how to handle it. But remember... everything comes at a price."
Aboud angrily ended the call and threw the phone aside. He looked at Abbas with eyes full of determination.
Aboud (firmly): "I'm not waiting for the police. I'll do this myself. John knows more than he's saying. I need to act quickly."
Abbas, despite his worry for Aboud's health, knew that there was no stopping him now.
Abbas (calmly): "I'm with you, Aboud. We won't let them take her. We'll do whatever it takes to get her back."
Aboud looked at Abbas with gratitude in his eyes, knowing that this friend wouldn't leave him alone in this battle.
